x-likesComing next

Search everything you’ve liked on X.

A local archive of your likes, with the text read out of images, the linked articles saved, and an MCP server so Claude can search it too.

git clone https://github.com/excellent-so/x-likes.git

FreeMITYour data stays on your machine

localhost:4321
x-likes: Every like, searchable

What you get

  1. 01

    It reads the images

Every image gets a caption and its text read out, so a screenshot of code turns up in a search.

  2. 02

    It keeps the articles

Links are unwrapped and each page’s readable text is saved with the like.

  3. 03

    Search by meaning

Find a like by what it’s about, even when it shares no words with your search. The embeddings are made on your machine.

  4. 04

    Claude can search it

An MCP server over the same database, with filters for tag, author, images and links.

01

Search by meaning

No like contains both words, so x-likes ranks by meaning. The top row is retries, offline-first sync, a latency chart and load shedding, and none of those posts says "flaky" or "networks".

02

It reads your images

Search reaches past the post. Here "latency" finds the diagram and the terminal screenshot by the text inside the image, and the offline-first post by the article it links to.

03

One like, opened

Open a like to see its image full size, the article behind its link, its tags and the likes related to it. Every like has its own link.

04

Filters, in the dark

Show only images or links, sort by date or best match, or narrow to a tag or a person. Dark is one click, and the page remembers it.

Why I made it

Most of what I like on X is screenshots of code and text. Now Claude can search them.
